Goodbye, July.

It's hard to believe July is already behind us.
Somehow, we're entering the last third of summer, and I can't help but feel a little emotional about it. This summer has been one I'll remember. Not because it was perfect, but because it reminded me of things I didn't realize I had forgotten.
I've had more vivid dreams over the past few months than I have in years. Dreams that stayed with me long after I woke up. Dreams that made me stop and ask myself, What am I trying to see? What am I trying to learn? Whether they're simply my subconscious sorting through life or something a little deeper, they've encouraged me to pay attention instead of brushing them aside.
I've also found myself paying more attention to the moon. Not because I think it has all the answers, but because its rhythm has reminded me that we all move through seasons. There are times to push forward, times to let go, and times when the most productive thing we can do is simply pause.
That pause has been the greatest gift of this summer.
There have been so many moments that made me feel like... me.
Standing in a crowd with my daughter, singing every word at the Noah Kahan concert, tears filling my eyes because joy can be so overwhelming it spills over.
Walking the streets of Italy, where people seem to understand that life is meant to be lived slowly, over long meals, an Aperol Sprints, and even better conversations.
Laughing until my face hurt with friends who fill my cup.
Spending time with my family, navigating all the beautiful, messy, ordinary moments that come with sharing a life together.
I've also made my health more of a priority—not from a place of pressure, but from a place of appreciation. Moving my body because it feels good. Eating foods that nourish me. Remembering that taking care of myself isn't another task on the to-do list; it's the foundation that allows me to show up for everything else.
The more I've slowed down, the more I've realized how much we miss when we're constantly rushing.
We miss the signs.
The quiet nudges.
The dreams.
The conversations that stay with us.
The feeling in our gut that gently says, "This way."
As a naturopath, I spend so much time encouraging others to listen to their bodies. This summer reminded me that our bodies aren't the only part of us speaking. Our intuition has a voice too. Sometimes it's loud, but more often it's incredibly quiet. You only hear it when you make space for it.
So that's what I want to carry into August.
More presence.
More movement.
More laughter.
More evenings outside.
More trust in myself.
More listening.
Summer isn't over yet, and neither is the opportunity to reconnect with yourself.
Maybe that's what this season has really been about all along.
With love,
